Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build a world class HR function from (almost) scratch
  • Design, implement and maintain all aspects of HR including recruitment, compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; engagement, training, analytics, workforce planning, etc
  • Identify, propose, and implement critical HR tools to support the growth of the business
  • Build and maintain HR reporting with meaningful, simple metrics to help drive business decisions and results
  • Build compliance, and controls and be the point of contact for all audit, risk, and compliance related activities
  • Hands on management and development for a growing team across US, Canada, Serbia, and India
  • As a start-up, additional tasks and duties as they arise

Skills & Experience

  • Skilled at working with brilliant, fast-moving colleagues who are paying attention, can do math and will hold you accountable
  • Thrive in a start-up environment where many things must be created from scratch, while still holding the view of building a long term best in class HR department
  • Problem solver who can jump into any situation and figure out the path to resolution while guiding the team along
  • Pacesetter orientation, with the ability to lead from the front, side and back
  • Identifying talent, building teams, developing people, developing self, and structuring scope to align with skillsets
  • Data analysis and presentation skills (Pivot tables & V-look up are requirements for this role)
  • Program Management, prioritization and process improvement skills to drive several projects, processes, and ongoing activities
  • Knowledgeable of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Engineering HR experience required, understanding the interrelationships between payroll, HRIS, benefits and other HR disciplines
  • International HR experience preferred
